From Page to Stage Competition
From Page to Stage - A competition for Playwrights - Winners announced.
This competition was organised by Fingal Libraries Division in conjunction with Dublin City, South Dublin County & Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Libraries to celebrate innovation and creativity in Dublin ://www.innovationdublin.ie/index.php
The competition was judged by Bernard Farrell, Cathryn Brennan, Laurence Foster & Daniel Reardon. Congratulations to Fionn Murray, the outright winner from Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. As part of his prize Fionn will be mentored by professional playwrights and his play "Burn" will be performed in Wood Quay on November 20th by professional actors. Fionn also receives a prize fund of €500.
Fingal Entrants did very well. The top scoring play was by Rob Buchanan. Professional playwright Laurence Foster will offer his skill to Rob and other Fingal entrants to improve the quality of their playwrighting.
