Fingal County Council wishes to remind you that in accordance with the Regional Parks and Open Spaces Bye Laws 1999:

THE LIGHTING OF BONFIRES IS PROHIBITED

Please remember:

Bonfires are dangerous, cause injury to children each year and cause damage to your environment.  It should also be noted that making staff available to clean up after bonfires and reinstate open spaces means that our Parks Staff are not available for normal maintenance duties

 

PLEASE DO NOT LIGHT ANY HALLOWEEN BONFIRES

Don’t leave out materials for use in bonfires
Don’t allow a bonfire on your local open space

Remember, its YOUR local environment – protect it

 

Any person who contravenes a provision of these Bye Laws shall be guilty of an offence and be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding €1,270.
