Beaches
Our beaches are considered to be one of the most valuable recreational facilities available to residents in Fingal. These beaches spread along the 30 mile coastline and include over twenty popular bathing areas.
The Council has been concerned with the dangers posed to the public by vehicular traffic on Fingal beaches. Since the closure of Donabate, Rush North and South beaches in July all of our beaches are now car-free zones. Access to Fingal beaches is restricted to all vehicles except for Emergency Services, Council vehicles and traders with permits to sell refreshments during the summer season.
