Water Safety on Fingal Beaches - 2011
Lifeguard cover will be provided on a weekend basis only from the 4th June 2011 until the 28th August 2011.
It is envisaged that week day cover will commence from the 1st July 2011 until the last week of August. This will depend on staff levels and weather.
The service hours are 11.00 am until 7.00 pm .
The presence of lifeguards on duty is indicated by the flying of the red/yellow flag. A red flag flown indicates that the guards are present but the public should not bathe. The public are advised not to swim when the beach is not guarded. Due to staffing restrictions some beaches may not be guarded during the season.

Claremount (Howth)
Note : Rush North may be guarded on an intermittent basis only. Skerries North Beach and Harbour will not be staffed this season.
Drinking alcohol on the beach is prohibited (Prohibition on Consumption of Intoxicating Liquor on Roads and in Public Places Bye-Laws 2002 under the Local Government Act 1994).
