IMPORTANT NOTICE
ARRANGEMENTS FOR
BLACK, BROWN & GREEN BIN COLLECTIONS
ST. PATRICK’S DAY, WEDNESDAY, 17TH MARCH 2010
Customers normally scheduled for GREEN BIN collection on Wednesday March 17th (St Patricks Day) will have their GREEN BINS collected on the previous Saturday March 13th 2010. This applies to all customers with a W6 collection calendar- your calendar reference code is located at the bottom right of the calendar. Please place all bins out on or before 7am on collection day.
We regret that due to an escalation in industrial action in the public sector the Council will not be able to provide a BLACK or BROWN bin collection service on Saturday 13th March next in lieu of the collection that would have been due on St. Patricks Day, Wednesday, 17th March. Customers next scheduled bin collection after St. Patricks Day will therefore take place on Wednesday 24th March as per their collection calendar.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience this will cause to our valued customers and thank your for your continued support.
Fingal County Council provides a 3-bin waste and recycling service. The brown bin is for food and garden waste, the green bin is for paper, cans, tins and clean plastics and the black bin is for all other household waste. The black refuse bin is collected 3 weeks out of every 4. Your green and brown bins are collected every 2 weeks. A collection calendar is issued to every household for your black and brown bins. If you haven't received a calendar, please call us on 01-8905473 to get one.

None of the bins can take hot ashes, builders rubble or corrosive materials. your black bin should not contain recyclable materials which should be placed in your green or brown bins.
Please put your bins on the kerbside outside your house on the collection day. You should have the handle at the back of the bin facing the road with the annual charge sticker visible.
NON COLLECTION OF BINS
If any of your bins were not collected it may be for any of the following reasons;-
- Is the bin overloaded or the lid not fully closed ?
- Are there extra bags or boxes beside the bin ?
- Is there anything in the bin which should not be there ?
- It is presented without the annual charge sticker and bin tag (black bin only) ?
