05.10.11 - Fingal County Council confirms sale of its waste collection business

Fingal County Council has reached agreement with Panda, for the sale of its residential and commercial waste collection service. The agreement was reached following a competitive sale process involving a number of waste management companies operating in the private sector. 

Panda took over the service from 1st November and all Fingal County Council Waste Collection customers continued to be provided with a black and brown bin service by Panda for the remainder of 2011. From January 1st 2012 Panda took over the green bin service.Panda agreed to fix the annual charge and tag/lift charge at the current price for all existing Fingal County Council customers for 2012.
