When should I use a bin tag?
Every time you put out your black bin for collection don't forget to attach the correct prepaid tag clearly showing your address. The binmen will then empty the bin and remove the tag. The bin will not be emptied if the wrong tag is on the bin.
A tag for a standard sized 240L black bin is €8 purple tag (yellow accepted up to 4th January 2010). If you have the smaller sized bin (140 litre) the tag you attach to your bin is a €4 green tag (red accepted up to 4th January 2010).
The green bin tag is only for customers with small sized bins, if it is attached to a normal sized bin it will not be collected.
Where can I buy bin tags?
You can buy tags in local shops and garages.
You can also buy tags by credit card by calling Ph. 8905009. These tags will be issued by post within 2 days.
You can also buy the bin tags online (see link on right hand side of this page).
