Environmental Awareness
Welcome to the Environmental Awareness Section of Fingal County Council!
What does the Environmental Awareness Officer do?
The main role of the Environmental Awareness Officer is to provide you with information on waste management issues.
If you want to know how to reduce your waste, where to recycle items, start composting or to make some small changes to help the environment then talk to us.
What's on?
We run a variety of environmental initiatives through out the year which we promote and communicate regularly through papers, newsletters, posters in the recycling centres and libraries, the website and leaflets. All of our events are free of charge and our aim is to work together to increase the awareness of our environment throughout Fingal.
How do you contact us?
As well as organised events the Environmental Awareness Officer is available (by appointment) to visit community groups, women’s associations, youth centres, etc to give informal talks on how to reduce, reuse and recycle your waste. If you would like us to come and give a talk please ring 01 8906236 to arrange an appointment.
