Waste Management in Fingal

Fingal County Council has a role in enforcing a number of Waste Management Regulations. The regulations gave enforcement duties to Local Authorities and Fingal County Council has a Waste Enforcement section dealing with these.

We have adopted Bye-Laws to control the storage and presentation of household waste in the Fingal area. These can be viewed on our Bye-Laws page.

We also operate an active landfill site in Balleally, Lusk and are working on the restoration and aftercare of Dunsink Landfill. Our Landfills page gives details on these.
