Waste Management Planning
The current waste management plan for the Dublin Region (Fingal , Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown & South Dublin) was made on November 11th 2005 and is due for revision by November 2010.
The plan is available on the Dublinwaste.ie website. Also available on this website are annual reports on the plan for 2006 & 2007.
The plan deals with the following
• Quantities of Waste
• Waste Collection ( Three bin collection)
• Infrastructure (Merrywell Materials Recovery Facility, Poolbeg Waste to Energy Plant, Tooman Nevitt Landfill, Biowaste Treatment facilities at Kilshane and Ballyogan)
• Measures for the reduction and recycling of waste
• Targets for recycling and landfill
