Waste Management Planning
The current waste management plan for the Dublin Region (Fingal , Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown & South Dublin) was made on November 11th 2005. A revision of the plan will be undertaken following the transposition into Irish Law of the Revised Waste Framework Directive and changes to National Waste Policy.
The plan is available on the Dublinwaste.ie website. Also available on this website are past annual progress reports on the plan.

The plan deals with the following
• Quantities of Waste
• Waste Collection ( Three bin collection)
• Infrastructure (Merrywell Materials Recovery Facility, Poolbeg Waste to Energy Plant, Tooman Nevitt Landfill, Biowaste Treatment facilities at Kilshane and Ballyogan)
• Measures for the reduction and recycling of waste
• Targets for recycling and landfill
