Waste Management and Recycling in Fingal
Fingal County Council has a role in enforcing a number of Waste Management Regulations. The regulations gave enforcement duties to Local Authorities and Fingal County Council has a Waste Enforcement Section dealing with these.
We have adopted Bye-Laws to control the storage and presentation of household waste in the Fingal area. These can be viewed on our Bye-Laws page.
Recycling Services
You will find in this section of the web site the recycling services we provide (see links above). These consist of advice on composting and sale of compost bins, provision of recycling facilities bring banks and advice on recycling of batteries.
Waste Collection Service
Fingal County Council has reached agreement with Panda, for the sale of its residential and commercial waste collection service. The agreement was reached following a competitive sale process involving a number of waste management companies operating in the private sector. Panda took over the service in November 2011 and agreed to fix the annual charge and tag/lift charge at the 2011 price for all former Fingal County Council customers for 2012. There are a number of waste collection service providers in the Dublin area. Please check that the service provider you use holds a valid Waste Collection Permit.
