Housing Construction


The Housing Construction Section deals with the implementation of the Council's building programme.  New housing projects are undertaken following a public competitive tendering process.  Housing Construction is on-going at the following locations:

Oldtown, Co. Dublin:  35 units

Main Street, Rush:        4 infill units

 

PART V DEVELOPMENTS

The Council makes provision for housing units to be obtained under Part V of the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2006.

A large number of Part V agreements relating to the provision of Social/Affordable units of accommodation have been entered into with over 1,000 units delivered to date under Part V. These units have been sold under the Council's Affordable Housing Scheme and let in accordance with the Council's Scheme of Letting Priorities.

The Council's Housing Strategy is currently being reviewed in conjunction with the County Development Plan 2005-2011.
