Transfer of Loan/Ownership of property from Joint to Sole and Sole to Joint names
There are a number of reasons why you may need to transfer your Loan/Ownership. Some of the reasons are listed below:
- Marriage
- Separation/Divorce
- New Relationship
- Court Order
- Death of a borrower(s)
What is the procedure?
In the case of Marriage,Separation/Divorce,New Relationship you need to download the appropriate Application Form below:
Return the completed form to the Housing Department, Loan Accounts & Arrears Section, Grove Rd, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
In the case of Court Order and Death of borrower(s), you should submit a copy of the Court Order or Death Certificate as appropriate to Land Registry. You should then submit a copy of the Revised Land Registry Folio to the Council at the above address.
In all of the above cases, you are advised to seek independent legal advice.
Note: The Council has discretion in regard to all transfer applications where the account is in arrears or the borrower has insufficent income to service the loan.
