Loan Account Repayments
Loan payments can be made in the following ways:
- Direct Debit
- Payments Office
- Post Office
- Standing Order
How do I pay by Direct Debit?
The Direct Debit option of paying your mortgage is now available to borrowers. Direct Debits differ from standing orders in that you will be instructing your bank to deduct variable amounts from your bank account each month.
The instruction needs to be for a variable amount to take account of interest rate changes for example. Therefore if there is a change in your monthly instalment, the Council will make the necessary arrangements to have the new deduction made. However, the Council WILL NOT vary the amount without informing you first.
If you would like to set up a direct debit to repay your loan please read Fingal County Council's Direct Debit Terms & Conditions. Then download, complete and return the direct debit form (clearly marking your loan account number) to: Fingal County Council, Housing Department, Loan Accounts Section, Grove Rd, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
By signing the instruction to your bank, you are acknowledging that you have read and understood the Terms & Conditions governing the direct debit arrangements with us which also explain that the monthly instalment will be debited from your bank account on the 1st of every month.
Can I pay at the Payments Office?
Loan repayments can be made by cash, bank draft, cheques, credit or laser cards. You can post your cheque or drop in at the Councils Payments Office in County Hall, Swords, Co.Dublin or at Grove Rd, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
All drafts and cheques should be made payable to Fingal County Council with your Account Number (e.g. S00151) clearly written at the back. Receipt of payment will be sent out to you as soon as possible.
If you wish to pay by phone using your credit laser card, please call our Payments Office on 01-8905309/5154. The Payments Office is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm daily.
