National Heritage Week 2011

National Heritage Week runs from Saturday 20th to Sunday 28th August this year. The aim of National Heritage Week is to promote awareness of our built, natural and cultural heritage, thereby encouraging its conservation and preservation. Heritage Week is co-ordinated in Ireland by the Heritage Council in conjunction with the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government, and is part of European Heritage Days, which is celebrated in over 40 countries across Europe.

Heritage Week in Fingal

In Fingal a range of family friendly events took place including exhibitions, art classes, and talks and walks of local interest. The Heritage Council are carrying out a quick survey of event attendees regarding their experience of Heritage Week. The survey can be accessed at the following link:
