Suspension of Metro West Scheme 2011

On 25th September 2011 the Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport confirmed that he has suspended the planning process for Metro West for the foreseeable future.

Following consultation with the National Transport Authority and Railway Procurement Agency, the Council, at its meeting on 10th October,2011 resolved to suspend the operation of the Section 49 Scheme
