ACCESS IMPROVEMENT SCHEME FOR BALLAST PIT AREA AND TOWNPARKS JUNCTION IMPROVEMENT SCHEME
Fingal County Council have prepared a scheme to provide a fully accessible pedestrian link, with associated public lighting, across the Ballast Pit, between the Townparks Distributor Road and Skerries Railway Station. The proposal also includes:
1. The signalised upgrade of the Dublin Road / Distributor Road junction,
2. The provision of a new pedestrian crossing on the Distributor road in the vicinity of the proposed pedestrian link, and
3. The resurfacing of a section of the Distributor road from the Dublin Road junction to beyond the entrance to Selskar Road. It is also proposed to provide managed, long term pay and display parking along this section of the Distributor road.

Objections or representations regarding the proposed scheme may be made in writing to Mr. Martin Sweeney, Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown not later than Friday 4th December 2009. The offices of Fingal County Council will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th October 2009.
