PROPOSED THIRD LANE TO BE ADDED TO THE M1 CARRIAGEWAY BETWEEN AIRPORT INTERCHANGE AND DRINAN INTERCHANGE. 

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed construction by Fingal County Council of the above development.

The works will involve widening each carriageway of the M1 Motorway to three through lanes from the end of the current M50 Upgrade works south of the Airport Junction (J2) to the Drinan Junction (J3) and the implementation of active merge management at slip road interfaces with the mainline.   The proposed works will extend over a distance of approximately 2km.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development as shown on the Public Display Drawings are available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy thereof from Wednesday 12th May 2010 to Thursday the 24th June 2010 at: -

Fingal County Council Offices, County Hall, Swords, Co. Dublin, and Civic Offices, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm (open through lunch).

The offices of Fingal County Council will be closed on Public Holiday Monday, 7th June.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development is situated, may be made in writing to Mr. Martin Sweeney, Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 to arrive no later than 4:30pm Thursday 8th July, 2010.
