PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001 – 2011
Proposed re-configuration of depot layout and development comprising the construction of a Salt Barn, Machinery Sheds, Material Bunkers, Re-fuelling bay and all associated site and drainage improvement works at Watery Lane, Swords, Co. Dublin
In accordance with Part XI of the Local Government Planning and Development Acts 2000 to 2010 and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 - 2011, Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of the proposed works as follows:
(i) re-configuration of the layout of the Watery Lane Depot- an established council Depot
(ii) demolition of disused structures and canteen building and
(iii) development comprising the construction of a Salt Storage Barn (1150m²) to hold circa 4500 tonnes of salt, 2no. Tractor and Machinery Sheds (850m² each), an insulated Machinery Shed (295m²), Material Bunkers, Re-fuelling Bay, drainage improvement works and all associated site works.
As required by Article 81 of the 2001 Regulations and amended by Article 17(2) of the
2006 Regulations, plans and particulars of the development will be available for inspection
from Tuesday 03rd January 2012, to Monday 13th February, 2012 at:
i) The Offices of Fingal County Council, County Hall, Main Street, Swords,
Co. Dublin between the hours of 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Mon-Fri
ii) The Swords Library, Swords Shopping Centre, Rathbeale Road, Swords
Co. Dublin during the standard library opening hours
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing
with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the
development would be situated, may be made in writing to:-

Grove Road,
Blanchardstown,
Dublin 15
on, or before Tuesday 28th February, 2012.
All comments, including the names and addresses of those making comments,
submitted to the Council in regard to this development will form part of the
statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County
Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and
consequently will appear on the Council’s Website.
