Regional Water & Drainage Geographic Information System

For the GIS contract Fingal County Council is acting as lead buyer on behalf of the Greater Dublin Region Water and Drainage Steering Groups. This comprises the following awarding authorities: Fingal County Council, Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Meath County Council, South Dublin County Council, Kildare County Council, and Wicklow County Council.

The duration of the framework agreement will be for 6 years this being the estimated period during which contracts would have to be awarded under this project.

It is anticipated Greater Dublin Region Water and Drainage GIS (GDR-GIS) will expand in the coming years to meet the future requirements of the water and drainage networks. It is possible that the area served by any future GDR-GIS may increase to include the administrative areas of some neighbouring local authorities.

Fingal is using the negotiated procedure to establish the Framework Agreement and award the initial contract. Following the evaluation of qualification questionnaires for the Regional Water & Drainage GIS Framework Agreement, qualified candidates will now be invited to participate in the dialogue being conducted under the negotiated procedure chosen for this procurement. Award of the initial contract is not expected until the first quarter of 2010.
