Surface Water Projects

The Water Services Department Drainage Design Office is actively involved in the delivery of a number of key drainage projects in Fingal. These projects will provide vital drainage infrastructure to meet the long term development needs of the County.

Fingal County Council, together with other local authorities in the region, is involved in the implementation of flood risk assessment schemes related to both river and coastal waters. The delivery of these schemes will ensure that there is appropriate control of development in the natural floodplains of all rivers and streams which would be subject to an unacceptable risk of flooding.
