Fingal County Council Major Emergency Plan, 2011

This plan has been prepared in accordance with A Framework for Major Emergency Management, 2006 published by the Department of Environment Heritage and Local Government. It was first published, and implemented, in 2008 and the latest review was completed in January 2011.  The plan was prepared on “all hazards” basis and it forms part of a coordinated response to any major emergency within the Fingal administrative area.  It was prepared in consultation with the other Principle Responding Agencies in the region who are An Garda Síochana and the Health Service Executive.  The plan also sets out arrangements for a regional response to any incident which would involve co operation with the neighbouring local authorities.  The council’s principle emergency service is provided by Dublin Fire Brigade under an agreement with Dublin City Council.
