The Finance Department deals with the overall financing of the Council’s operations. This means monitoring and controlling the following:

* Expenditure
* Income
* Borrowing
* Leasing
* Investments

Our main source of income for our day to day spending comes from the following areas:

* Commercial Rates
* Local Government Fund (money from central government)
* Government Grants (for specific works)
* Housing Rents
* Planning Application Fees
* Commercial Water Charges
