€100 HOUSEHOLD CHARGE

If you are an owner of a residential property on the 1st January 2012 (Liability Date) you will have until 31st March 2012 to register and pay the household charge of €100 per residential property.

Late payment fees apply to any payments made from 1st April 2012.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

Online: registration and payment can be made online at www.householdcharge.ie

By post: registration and payment can also be made by sending the completed registration form with the relevant payment to:

Direct Debit: The registration form also has a Direct Debit Mandate and the household charge can be paid in four instalments of €25. In order to avail of this facility you must set up the direct debit arrangement by the 1st March 2012. The payment dates for 2012 are as follows:

• Instalment number 1:    13th March 2012
• Instalment number 2:    14th May 2012
• Instalment number 3:    13th July 2012
• Instalment number 4:    10th September 2012


Fingal County Council Cash Office: Cash payments, together with completed registration forms will be accepted and receipted at the Councils Cash Office in Swords and Blanchardstown between the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm Monday to Friday. Registration forms with any other form of payment will also be accepted but not receipted and forwarded to the Household Charge Office for processing.

Household charge registration forms are available online and at Fingal County Council cash offices and reception desks in Swords & Blanchardstown, at all Fingal Libraries and at Citizens Information Centres.

PLEASE NOTE: Most houses in Fingal are connected to the public main water supply with the exception of some homes in rural areas of Fingal where the supply comes from a private well. There are no Group Water Schemes in Fingal.
