Non Principal Private Residence Charge 2012

Collection of the Non Principal Private Residence charge of €200 for 2012, which is based on the ownership and status of the property on the 31st March 2012 (Liability date), will begin from the 31st March 2012. The NPPR charge must be paid on or before the 30th June 2012, in order to avoid late payment fees.

The charge is payable in full within two months from this date i.e. by the 31st May 2012, with a further month being allowed before late payment fees of €20 per month apply. Late payment fees are therefore effective from the 1st July 2012.

All Rented Accommodation Scheme (RAS) and Long Term Lease Initiative owners are now liable to pay the Non Principal Private Residence effective 2012 as prescribed in the Local Government (Household Charge) Act 2011
