The work of the Economic Development Division also includes activities that contribute to the continued economic growth of Fingal, in addition to promoting the county as a prime location for business and tourism.
- Fingal Business and Employment Survey 2010
The Fingal Skills Observatory, a partnership of 15 local and national Development Agencies led by Fingal County Council, carried out the Fourth Fingal Business and Employment Survey which gathered much needed information on issues such as business competiveness, infrastrucutral requirements, future staffing and skills needs. This information will be used to inform future policy decisions that will be of concern to Fingal Businesses. - Fingalworks.ie is an online information resource for jobseekers and businesses in Fingal. The website provides information about training, further education, social welfare, employment and redundancy, as well as career advice for jobseekers.
It also provides information and options to businesses in the areas of advice, feasibility studies, business plans, mentoring, training, finance, networking and locating premises.
The website has been developed by Fingal County Councils Economic & Social Development Division and aims to help Fingal cope with significant local economic and employment challenges.

- The Economic Development Strategy for the Metro North Economic Corridor was launched in May 2008. (Available to download, see below). The Strategy identifies the long term economic development opportunities that will arise from the construction of Metro North. The Corridor includes the areas of Lissenhall, Swords, Dublin Airport and the City Fringe.
- The Dublin Fingal - Ireland's Prime Investment Location marketing initiative was successfully launched during 2008, and highlights the opportunities' and advantages to businesses of locating and investing in Fingal. - Annual events such as the Fingal Day of Enterprise for small businesses, and the Fingal Business Incubation Day for Enterprise Centres are supported by the Division.
- Annual financial support is provided by the Council towards the administration and operation of Fingal Tourism and Dublin Tourism. The Council also continues its support of tourism through its membership on the Board of Fingal Tourism.
