Disabled Parking in Fingal
Fingal County Council has mapped the location of public Disabled Car Parking spaces in Fingal. These include spaces on streets, at community facilities, in retail areas and at transport facilities.
The mapped spaces are available in two formats – via Interactive map and via Sat-Nav downloads.

From the map, it is possible to search by area (Swords, Malahide, Blanchardstown, etc.) to view locations of spaces and their adjacent services (hairdresser, supermarket, train etc.).

Fingal County Council Offices
Fingal County Council Offices located at County Hall, Swords; Grove Road, Blanchardstown; Council Offices in Baldoyle and Balbriggan Town Hall are all wheelchair accessible. Facilities in the buildings include wheelchair accessible toilets & induction loops at public counters. Provision is also made for visually impaired persons. Accessibility in Fingal County Libraries
Fingal County Council provides library services to almost 250,000 citizens in the county. Our public libraries at Balbriggan, Baldoyle, Blanchardstown, Garristown, Howth, Malahide and Swords carry a wide range of accessible material such as large print books, audio-books and CDs/DVDs, and are fully wheelchair accessible, with disabled toilets also provided. Libraries are fitted with induction loops, and provision is made for visually impaired persons.
Blanchardstown Library also provides an Assistive Technology Centre that includes the following equipment:
- 4 height adjustable workstations
- Large-key keyboards
- 4 touch screens
- Large size mice
- 4 headphones with microphones
- 2 Maltron keyboards (right and left hand)
- 1 Epson scanner.
The library also provides Jaws Professional, Kurzweil 1000, Kurzweil 3000, Zoomtext Magnifier and Internet access software for those with impaired vision.
Fingal Mobile Library Service provides a library service to those who are not within easy reach of a branch library. The Mobile Service currently calls at 52 different locations in Fingal including housing estates, rural villages and National Schools. Fingal Housebound Library Service was established to cater for those who for reasons of age, incapacity or illness are unable to leave home/hospital or other care facilities to access a public library. This service also operates to facilities such as nursing homes, hospitals, residential and non-residential care facilities as well as rehabilitation centres. Accessibility in Fingal Arts and Community Centres
Fingal County Council Arts Centres, Draíocht in Blanchardstown, and the Séamus Ennis Centre in Naul are both wheelchair accessible, and provide physically accessible toilets. For information on events at these centres please see www.draoicht.com and www.seamusenniscentre.com.
Our Community Centres at Mulhuddart, Mountview and Corduff in Dublin 15 and at Donabate are also wheelchair accessible and provide physically accessible toilets. Acessibility in Fingal Heritage Properties and Playgrounds
Fingal County Council has a number of regional and local parks and playgrounds, all of which are wheelchair accessible. Our Heritage properties at Ardgillan Castle, Newbridge House & Demesne, Malahide Castle and Swords Castle, are by their nature, limiting for wheelchair users and also for soem people with mobility problems. Audio visual tours of Ardgillan Castle, Newbridge House and Skerries Mills may be taken by visitors to those properties who are unable to take the guided tour. Some of our playgrounds include adaptive play equipment.
