Age Friendly County

Fingal is going to be an Age Friendly County

Fingal Development Board with Fingal County Council aims to follow the example of counties Louth, Kilkenny and Kildare to make Fingal an Age Friendly County.
Age Friendly Counties/Cities are defined by the World Health Organisation as being places where active and healthy ageing is promoted and where the quality of life for older people matters.

Fingal County Manager, David O’Connor in collaboration with State and State funded Agencies and Community & Voluntary Organisations of the Fingal Development Board will champion the Age Friendly County initiative in Fingal.

“It is important that older people are at the heart of the decisions being made concerning them in the county, therefore it is important that they have a say in the development of an Age Friendly Strategy for Fingal” said David O’Connor
