Social Inclusion Unit

Fingal County Council tries to ensure that our services are easily accessible and efficiently delivered to all our residents, regardless of the challenges they may face.  Our Social Inclusion Unit, working across various departments in the Council, promotes and enhances the ability of Fingal County Council to be more socially inclusive.

We do this through activities and initiatives that can help to improve the standard of living, participation in decision making and overall well-being of those who are marginalised.  We plan to:

  • Develop a poverty profile for Fingal to identify areas of greater deprivation and need
  • Develop a Social Inclusion Strategy to ensure social inclusion is evident in all aspects of the Council’s work
  • Support projects that are aimed at vulnerable groups
  • Engage with all stakeholders to co-ordinate & maximise capacity for social inclusion
  • Provide enhanced customer services
