Bealtaine Festival 2014 Fingal

The Bealtaine Festival is a festival that celebrates creativity as we age and covers all the art forms. Established in 1996 there are now 120,000 people taking part in the Bealtaine Festival and this years festival theme is “And catch the heart off guard” which comes from poet Seamus Heaney.

As part of Bealtaine, Fingal County Libraries has a full programme of events throughout the month in many of the Fingal Library branches. These events cover such interests as Painting with Acrylics, Flower Arranging, Stories, Music & Song relating to Fingal and Old Dublin along with Film Screenings of ‘High Society’ starring Grace Kelly and ‘Quartet’ starring Billy Connolly. Carnation Theatre Company will also invite audience participation in re-living old memories in Malahide Library and Blanchardstown Library.
