The Business, Enterprise and Employment Centre in Blanchardstown library is a workspace available for anyone seeking employment or career development as well as entrepreneurs of all levels. Be it an idea for a start-up or a business in growth, we offer a free space that perfectly fits the requirements of our digital age. Bring your mobile office to the library!

The Business, Enterprise and Employment Centre provides business, job seeking and career advancement information, books and reference materials, newspapers, journals and online resources. Courses include a 10 week Start your own Business course led by the Fingal Local Enterprise Office (LEO) and an intensive English for Work Purposes course. You can also avail of networking events and various workshops. Business Advice Clinics are also held in the library with LEO business advisors.

We also provide the following services;

  • Free wifi
  • 3 dedicated pcs for employment and business research
  • iMac for specialised work/research
  • 1 Microfilm computer for historical and business research (microfilm going back to the 1800s)
  • 4 new study/research desks
  • Printing facilities
  • Den booth that can be used for group research and meetings
  • Europe Direct Information Centre
  • Business databases – Vision-Net and Mintel

Betty Boardman, Fingal County Librarian spoke about the service, saying; ‘This new initiative at Blanchardstown Library is a learning, working and meeting place for people who are seeking employment or career development and for anyone with a business idea or who wants to grow a business. The Library provides a welcoming and supportive environment underpinned by practical resources and trained staff.’
